Daisy Bell is an 18 year old Singer/Songwriter from Huntingdon in Cambridgeshire.
Having written songs on her guitar from an early age, she won the open mic competition at The 2012 Southwell Folk Festival at the age of 16 and was awarded one of the main stages and a slot in the festival’s 2013 line up.
In the same year Daisy also won one of the joint places in the Young Musician’s Hub band competition at the 2012 Cambridge Folk Festival where she also played slots at The Club Tent and The Den in solo capacity.
The following year 2013, she succeeded in reaching many goals. These included a prestigious guest slot supporting Toploader during their UK tour, was given a residency in London Soho for the Seb Collective/ @sebcollective1 (who discovered Adele and Amy Winehouse) and has notched up to nearly 50 gigs in the last year playing both locally in Cambridgeshire and further afield.
As a singer/songwriter she is constantly developing and the mature, mellow timbre of her voice suits the distinctive quality of her heart rending songs.
Her near-future gigs include a darkly atmospheric, candle lit slot at The Night of the Artisan Eve of Eve @ The Round Church, Cambridge on the 23rd Dec 2013. 6 gigs at Sanctum Rock’n Roll Hotel Soho in January/Feb 2014. Check the gigs page for extra details.
